2025 Young Writers Scholarship

 

Congratulations to Cookie Gross, recipient of CACE's 2025 Dorchester Young Writers Scholarship!

 

The scholarship provides full tuition for a Dorchester County student to attend Washington College's annual Cherry Tree Young Writers Conference. The Conference, held each summer at the college's Chestertown campus, provides meaningful opportunities to explore the literary worlds of writing, editing, and publishing. Students take creative writing workshops in fiction, poetry, or journalism, attend readings and panel discussions, and learn about editing and publishing from prize-winning authors and faculty members.

CACE will be accepting applications next spring for the 2026 scholarship.
