CHOPTANK500
Eligibility & Guidelines

Choptank Arts and Culture Exchange (CACE) will be accepting applications for the next round of CHOPTANK500 grants in early 2025.

What does the CHOPTANK500 grant fund?
CHOPTANK500 grants are given to help facilitate and further meaningful artistic and/or cultural work. The grant amount is $500.

Who can apply for a CHOPTANK500 grant?
Individuals (18 years and older) who reside in Dorchester or Talbot counties or nonprofit organizations based in Dorchester or Talbot counties are eligible for the current round of funding.   Recipients may only receive one Choptank500 grant over a 12-month period.

Do I need to submit additional materials?
Submit any photos, video, audio, or text documents that will help the grants committee make its decision. You can upload them to your online application.

Are grant recipients required to document how CHOPTANK500 funds are used?
Yes, we’d like to hear how the CHOPTANK500 grant impacted the work you do. We’ll conduct a brief video chat, in-person or via Zoom, that, with permission, may be shared on social media. A written summary is encouraged but not required.

Are there other benefits to applying?
Yes, CACE will, whenever possible, direct applicants to additional resources that could help sustain their work. We may know of other grants or funding sources to pursue.
